It seems like every game now, somebody on the Blazers is overachieving. First it was Plumdog Millionaire playing like prime Bill Walton, then it was Aminu playing like prime Rashard Lewis, now it’s Moe Harkless playing like prime Moe Harkless instead of the passive version of Moe Harkless who you sometimes get. The only person who’s not overachieving is Noah Vonleh. And Luis Montero I guess.
In fact, the entire Blazers team sort of overachieved the whole season in order to get to this point. It’s not like Lillard and McCollum dragged them to the playoffs. Other players on the team, Harkless included, actually contributed a sizable amount to the winning basketball that nobody expected the Blazers would be capable of. Now they’re ahead in the series and I’m not convinced that it’s only because CP3 and Griffin are currently lying side-by-side in a single coffin waiting for death’s comforting embrace to take them away.
