Upon the uploading of this video, I will have officially made more Andre Roberson highlight vids during this year’s playoffs than I had over the entire rest of his pro career.
Is that bananas or what? Hell, I’d say we’ve gone well past bananas. This is frickin’ PLANTAINS.
Roberson did it all tonight. 17 frickin’ points (shown), a career high in one of the biggest games of his life, 12 ever-loving rebounds (not shown) as the starting SG, 3 assists (shown), flashing nascent play-making ability, 2 mammoth blocks (shown), and 5 steals (shown), making Fraudmond Preen and Stephenis Slurry look like bumbling children. Considering the intensity of the game, that’s pretty much a 5×5 in my book.
It’s to the point now where, when the Thunder beat the Warriors and advance to the finals, we will be able to say that Andre 3021 was, after Durant and Westbrook, the biggest reason for their convincing series victory. This is like when Andre Iguodala when he won finals MVP. It’s not like Roberson is better than the two stars, but he’s extremely valuable in his own way, and he also happens to be making a few shots right now. Free throws are still a problem (he could have had 20, 20 points for him is like Wilt scoring 150, DAMMIT), but it’s a problem we can ignore in the face of all his other positives.
Looks like the Thunder will have to find a different scrub to assault Draymond’s balls in the closing seconds of the elimination game.
