Here’s what I say: swap Brandon Jennings in for Derrick Rose in the Knicks’ starting lineup, and their fun level goes off the charts. Their win total may take a hit, but I feel like maximum fun can be had if Jennings has the shackles taken off.
He already has chemistry with Kristaps Porzingis. That’s the most important thing for the Knicks right now, getting Krispy (only the whole future of the franchise) involved and feeling good. Derrick Rose and his four assists in two games, you know, I just don’t feel the same connection there. And don’t think I’m biased because Jennings was a Buck once upon a time. I HATED that chucky little midget by the end of his time in Milwaukee. The fact remains that he wants to pass, and Derrick does not.
That’s my narrative, anyway. I’m sticking to it.
