Matthew Dellavedova 14 Points/9 Assists Full Highlights (10/29/2016)

On the surface, Matthew Dellavedova looks like a perfect fit for the Bucks feat. Point-Giannis. Delly doesn’t need the ball all the time, he plays defense without even needing to be told to, and he has a pretty decent three-ball. Great! There’s only one problem:

He shoots floaters all the time!

As we all know, floaters are the kind of shot you take when you suck on offense. A fully functioning offense will not include any floaters, nor will it include any of the floater’s close relative, the runner. Every time Delly shoots one of these cursed shots, he is basically forfeiting possession of the ball to the other team, because the ball is doomed to carom wildly off the back of rim. Once in a while, the ball may miraculously find its way into the hole, but those occasions are an anomaly, and are not to be expected.

The majority of Delly’s points came in that form tonight. We can not anticipate him to be as successful with it going forward. He needs to figure something else out if he wants to score, like maybe shooting hook shots or something. Anything but floaters.
