The league has really been feeling the lack of AJ’s since A.J. Price washed out two years ago. It has also been feeling the lack of Purdue Boilermakers, with only E’Twaun Moore carrying that torch before A.J. Hammons showed up out of nowhere to put some mega amounts of hurt on the Warrior’s third-stringers. Now both of those voids have been filled and they have been filled to their fullest.
Check this out: nine points. Three rebounds. A foul. A three. Six minutes. This is like Joel Embiid territory except even more insane since Hammons was never really supposed to be this good. And fewer turnovers. I don’t want to cause alarm in any of my viewers, but we might be witnessing the start of something special. Something really special.
It might not happen quickly. Oh, no. It might unfurl slowly like a hurricane feeding off warm ocean waters. But when Bogut inevitably goes down with some kind of injury to his legs/feet area, the world had better be ready for A.J. Hammons.
