I think I’m really going to miss the Jazz commentators calling Trevor Booker dunks this year. They’re pretty annoying most of the time, but when they call Booker “Trampoline Man”, reference his dunks as the “Hammer of Thor” or just yell “Trevor BOOKER” in a really husky voice, you realize that nobody else should be allowed the privilege of manning the mic when Booker is throwing down one of his patented “Booker Bumps”.
That’s not to say that there are dunks in this video. There aren’t. I’m just saying that if and when the Nets commentators are afforded the opportunity to come up with a catchphrase for Booker’s whamjams, I’m sure they’ll fail miserably.
I don’t really know how the CBA works but I’m sure there’s a way to get Booker back to the Jazz without breaking any CBA rules. The Nets might have to waive him and then Booker might have to play in Europe for two weeks, but those minor inconveniences shouldn’t be allowed to stand in the way of us listening to Matt Harpring’s near-orgasmic calls of Booker power jams.
