I almost missed this performance by Jamal Murray. I had taken a look at the boxscore with about 2 minutes to go, didn’t notice anything that I wanted to highlight, and forgot about the game. Instead of doing highlights, I played some Rocket League. That was fun.
Then, for some reason, I went back to check out the boxscore again. I’m not really a religious dude, but I’m pretty sure this was the work of Jesus himself, telling me not to miss out on an amazing performance by a heretofore struggling rookie. Imagine my surprise when I saw that Jamal Murray had 19 points! He definitely didn’t have that many the first time I checked. As I examined the play-by-play, the reason became quite clear; he hit 4 triples in the last 30-ish seconds of the game! Jesus knew this, because he is omniscient, and he knew that I didn’t know that, also because he’s omniscient. Thanks, Jesus. What a save!
I already apologized for not going to church for like a decade, so me and Jesus are cool now. He knows how important NBA highlights are to his flock, and now his flock has grown one sheep larger.
