Vince Carter 20 Points/1 Dunk Full Highlights (11/14/2016)

Another 20 point game for the NBA’s oldest player. How is this happening? I didn’t want to admit it to myself, but Vince Carter looked kinda done last year. Not totally done, mind you. If he wants he can play until he’s 45. It’s just, you know, he didn’t look very effective at all on offense, and I was worried (justifiably, because what kind of player gets better at his age?) that he was only going to regress further.

My worries were unfounded. Vinsanity is, according to that Memphis commentator who I hate, in the best shape he has been in years, and showed it off by throwing down a big dunk near the end of the game against the Jazz. Compare that to Dirk Nowitzki’s most recent “dunk”, and you can see that Vince definitely still has it.

I don’t know about the dunk contest, though. That’s just asking for disappointment. I don’t want anything to tarnish my memory of 2000.

Sidenote: I want to see Vince break Kevin Willis’ “legit” record for oldest player to appear in an NBA game, and I want to see him dunk it that same game. I am not alone in wanting this; Adam Silver called me up and said he’s going to do everything he can to make it happen.
