Who would have thought that I could make highlights from a game where the team in question scores just 64 points? For 64 points to happen, everybody has to suck. There can be no good performances in such a game because if there were good performances, the team would score more than 64.
Jonathan Gibson finally got to make his NBA debut, but probably not in the circumstances that he imagined in his dreams. The Mavericks’ roster is, in total, about fifteen body parts short of the amount you would expect for the amount of bodies there are. Apparently, this game was on track to become the lowest-scoring game in Mavs history until Nicolas Brussino hit a three with less than a minute to go. Jonathan probably wanted to play with Dirk or at least with Deron Williams. Not Dorian Finney-Smith and A.J. Hammons. Nobody fantasizes about playing with those guys except the Mavericks cheerleaders (remember ladies: players are off limits!).
So, a bad situation but a decent debut. Good job Gibson! You tried.
