In my opinion, the possession starting at 0:31 of this video is the best thing to happen in the NBA so far this season. Nik Stauskas didn’t even look to pass. I don’t know if his eyes ever left the ball he was pounding into dust. And if Stephen Curry did something like that, we’d be getting 3 or 4 videos on the official NBA YouTube channel showing it.
You can point to other cool NBA happenings this year, but I don’t think this one can be topped. It’s a story written on the parchment of Philadelphia hardwood, a drama rivaling the ancient Greek masters. A moving tale of man against man, told through the medium of athletic competition.
Also Stauskas alley-oop dunked it in this game and that Zumoff guy reprised his famous “Hold me back fam” line, with the resulting totality of the play being ranked number two on the list of best NBA occurrences.
