You will have to weigh the pros and cons of watching this video yourself, unless you are one of the unfortunate souls who actually watches the video before you read my commentary on the video. The pro is that Plumlee actually makes a leaning jumpshot in this video, overcoming perhaps decades of unworkable jumper form to successfully guide the ball into the basket. The con is that Plumlee was a seriously sick dunker in his rookie year but now he seems happy to just lay it in and save energy for…what exactly? Playing defense? Nah.
I mean, I think the pro outweighs the con in this case. Plumlee once airballed a free-throw and he’s had his share of badly missed jumpshots. Him actually converting on a shot from midrange is pretty spectacular. More spectacular than all but the best of his dunks, to be honest. So, if I were you, I would go ahead and watch this video. But it’s totally up to you.
