I can’t be the only who’s got the feeling that Tobias Harris has dropped out of the view of the general NBA consciousness. I just can’t be. There must be others.
There was a bunch of hype for Tobes after he got traded to the Magic, and then a smaller amount after he was sent to the Pistons, but now? It’s like he doesn’t exist. He goes out there and scores his 17 or so points the same way he always has, plays a little defense maybe, and that’s it. That’s all you get. No particular reason for much hype, I guess.
He needs to be more aggressive. I could say that about every player in the Pistons’ starting lineup, since they apparently colluded to score only in the ‘teens every game. But I have a special attachment to Tobey Bear, and he his Detroit’s leading scorer, so I want him to take on a more featured role. 20 points per game is not unreasonable. If getting there means fewer shots for Ish Smith, I can live with that I think.
