Normally when a team with Nick Young on it sucks, Nick Young is a primary reason for the suckage. It’s been such a constant pattern throughout his career that I don’t think anyone would have expected to be broken.
Here we are.
The Lakers, after a decent start to the season, suck. Bad. I don’t know what happened over there. I’m sure Lakers fans have tons of reasons for the regression, but I’m also sure that none of them will point to Nick Young. Young has been astoundingly efficient by his standards, shooting career-highs from the field and from three. He and fellow chuckmaster Lou Williams, who together should comprise the swaggiest, chuckiest, 6th-manniest, unwatchablest scoring duo ever, might be the two best players on the team right now. Young has even, supposedly, been playing defense! Who says tigers never change their stripes?
