Wayne Ellington 18 Points Full Highlights (1/1/2017)

Wayne “Beef W” Ellington is having a career year. You might not have noticed because a career year for Wayne Ellington is not of the same caliber as a career year for a DeMar DeRozan or a James Harden. But the Waynemaker is averaging career highs across the board: points (12.4), field goal percentage (43.8%), minutes (29), assists (1.9), and DTB’s favorite stat, winshares per 48 (.108). Those aren’t great numbers, but when taken in the context of the rest of his career, it turns out that I was wrong and they actually are great numbers.

If the Wayne Man can maintain his twelve PPG average until the end of the season, he will be honored with a place on the “list of perpetual single-digit scorers who once averaged an acceptable amount of points but are now totally forgotten by history”. I don’t know who else is on the list because I forgot who they are, but you can be sure that Beef W will be in good company on that list. I bet Chris Mihm is on that list. I wish I got to hang out with Chris Mihm.
