Doug McDermott 17 Points Full Highlights (1/4/2017)

After spending several weeks in a confused daze after being violently and repeatedly concussed in late November, Doug McDermott has finally shaken off the inner cobwebs of his mind and is back on the court. He still doesn’t quite know where he is or who his teammates are, but his vision is clear enough to reliably identify where the basket is and where the ball is in relation to the basket. This is good news for the Bulls because they were suffering from an acute shortage of people who could consistently locate the rim from game to game.

As the final remnants of the concussion lift away like a warm blanket being ripped from you on a cold morning, McDermott should continue to improve his numbers. Soon we will regard a mere seventeen points as his absolute floor, an amount he could only score if burdened with persistent headaches, doubled vision, and a general inability to generate coherent thoughts. Couple that with the fact that he should become a featured weapon in an offense that is lacking shooters, and I’m expecting twenty points per game from here until the end of the season. And at least one dunk every two games as long as it doesn’t result in any additional concussions.
