Spencer Hawes 18 Points Full Highlights (1/5/2017)

It may come as a surprise to Hornets fan, but there was a period of Spencer Hawes’ career where he could be considered to have played “good”. I’m thinking specifically of his 2013-14 campaign, where he averaged 13 ppg for the 76ers (who cycled through 23 [!!!!!] players that season), then got traded to the Cavaliers (who cycled through 21 [Seth Curry LOL {Lots of Laughs}] players that season) where he also averaged 13 ppg. He didn’t lead his teams to many wins, but he put up some numbers and was kinda efficient.

This kinda efficiency fooled the Clippers into giving him a 4-year, $23 million deal. Immediately after the ink dried on the contract, he began sucking, a trend that continues to the present day. Happily for the Hornets, all they had to give up to get him was Lance Stephenson, who isn’t even in the league. Hawes and his funky hair are definitely still in the league, so I guess they won that trade. Except that now they have Spencer “The Dispenser” Hawes.

The Dispenser dispensed 18 points tonight, a season high, including an admittedly clutch-as-heck three to tie the game with 8 seconds left. The Hornets ended up losing, but it was still a really sweet shot, and nothing can ever take that away from him.
