I have harnessed the powers of YouTube to make it look like Doug McDermott had a good game, even though, by all measures except one, he didn’t.
That one measure that makes him look kind of okay is the “clutchness” factor. McDermott, despite going 6 of 17 from the field, did hit a big three-pointer near the end of regulation, as well as scored 5 points in overtime, leading to a (you guessed it) five point win by the Bulls. Other than his marginal clutchitude, though, he didn’t have a very good game. EDIT: I guess he did grab a bunch of rebounds. So that’s two things. I stand corrected.
But if you watch this video as your only source of McDermott/Bulls-related media tonight, and if you ignore this description, you will come away with the impression that McBuckets had a good game. That’s sort of the reason for making highlights, but I still feel bad every time I do it. I don’t MEAN to mislead you guys. It just sort of happens sometimes.
