I continue to be greatly impressed by how solidly solid Malcolm Brogdon is. He’s still a rookie, so he still will sometimes make bad mistakes like the bad inbound pass near the end of this one (WTF WHY PASS TO PARKER), but for the most part he is as solid as a really solid solid thing. Just super solid, all around.
Of course, he’s already 24, way older than Giannis, so you kind of expect a certain degree of solidity. As a result of his advanced age, he’s not very likely to get a ton better than he is right now. He spent his full allotment of years in college, and he’s developed about as far as he’ll go. And that’s fine. He’s the ideal PG for the Bucks, just like Dellavedova would be the ideal PG for the Bucks if he didn’t suck. He knows where to be on the court, makes the right pass, can hit the open shot, and plays defense. They don’t need a PG to shoot tons of shots and to pound the ball into dust. That’s what Giannis is for (ball movement looked a little better tonight, BTW, without the Greek Freak).
Why the heck would you pass it to Parker in that situation? Forget about the career-high 22 points, I’m getting all mad again. At least the Packers won.
