From DNP-CD’s to 35 minutes in a game: Anthony Tolliver sure has come a long way since the beginning of the season. The Kings are actually have a not-terrible record of seven wins and eight losses since Tolliver has started getting them major minutes (and the known team detriments Afflalo and Lawson have had their minutes correspondingly reduced).
In honor of Tolliver’s tying his season high, I’ve created a list of all the little things he brings to the table to help his team win:
-Doesn’t force shots
-Is an experienced veteran who is a calming influence on his teammates
-Shoots the three-ball at a high enough rate that it stretches the defense
-Isn’t Dion Waiters
-Refuses to help Ty Lawson acquire alcohol before games (Lawson is banned from most liquor stores within fifty miles of Sacramento)
-Doesn’t punch reporters
-Has never requested a trade
-I bet he has a sound understanding of team defense, or something like that
-Did I mention the three-pointers
-Always listens patiently when his teammates complain about other teammates
There you have it. Anthony Tolliver is a guy that every team would want to have in the locker room.
