Paul Zipser 10 Points Full Highlights (1/20/2017)

I’m trying to figure out if the hype for Pääul Zïpßer is less or greater than the hype for Tibor Pleiß. As far as I could tell, there was little to no hype for Pleiß, until he started shooting threes in Summer League. Then he got waived and I don’t even know where he ended up. With Zipser, there doesn’t seem to much hype either. If there was any, which there may have been in the darkest cobwebbiest corners of Bulls fandom, it disappeared quickly when he took a month and a half to make his first shot.

I guess Zipser wins the hype-battle by default, though, because he’s still in the NBA while Pleiss is not. Every single NBA player has at least one fan who has an irrational desire for said player to perform well on the court. Except for Wilson Chandler. That dude has no fans at all, it’s crazy.

This is Zipser’s first double-digit scoring game, maybe the first of many, maybe the last before he gets shipped back to Germany in an extra-large UPS box. He played a part in the Bulls’ spirited comeback attempt, hitting two shots and canning some free throws. Add to that his sick pump-fake drive and dunk against Millsap, and this becomes WAY better than those crappy 8-point Pleiß highlights I did that one time.
