Dënniß “The Menaße” ßchrööder was seriously cold-blooded at the end of this game against the Bulls. Actually, his whole team was, but Dënniß’ blood was the coldest and had the highest concentrations of ice. He scored thirteen points (including the go-ahead shot) and added another seven points through his assists in the fourth quarter alone. Now the Bulls are imploding and everybody in the Chicago locker room hates each other, while the Hawks are back on track in their quest for home-court advantage in the playoffs.
German fans clad in lederhosen and dirndls (maybe even both at the same time) have a lot to cheer about when it comes to ßchrööder. His shooting percentages are great for a point guard with a love for pull-up jumpers, and his assist numbers are pretty nifty too. He might not be a top ten point guard quite yet, but his trajectory of improvement seems to indicate that he will get there eventually. Only then will the Dirk Nowitzki-shaped hole in the hearts of every German fan finally be filled.
