Jrue Holiday 23 Points/11 Assists Full Highlights (1/27/2017)

The Pelicans are 19-28 after they beat the Spurs last night. Not a good record, but still good enough to somehow be in the playoff hunt in the West because of the insane dropoff after the seventh-seeded Grizzlies. But when you only count the games in which Jrue Holiday plays, the Pelicans are 17-15. That’s looking a lot better, and it tells us two things: the first is that Jrue Holiday is way better than Tim Frazier, and the second is who cares about who’s better or not, I want more Tim Frazier dammit.

Dammit.

As long as Jrue Holiday is on the Pelicans, whoever is backing him up is going to get their chances because he hasn’t played nearly the full slate of games since he packed up his bags and left Philly. Tim Frazier got his chance and he made the most of it; unfortunately, there’s something called “wins” in the NBA and Frazier didn’t help his team get any, so he’s collecting DNP’s and the newly-returned Tyreke Evans is presumably handling backup ball-handling responsibilities. Why do good players constantly have to get in the way of Frazier succeeding? It shouldn’t be this way.
