Mike James 18 Points/7 Assists Full Highlights (10/23/2017)

Things just keep getting better for Mike James. He opens his career as a totally unknown end-of-bench player and notches three straight double-digit scoring games, his minutes increasing each time. Then, he manages to get a coach fired and seize even more minutes. With those minutes, he flashes unseen playmaking ability as well as crafty scoring moves. To cap it off, he hits a game-winning shot with 14 seconds left to give his team their first win of the season.

It’s a shame that this year’s rookie class is so stacked, because last year he’d probably have won ROY of the Year just on the back of these first four performances. I pretty much can’t believe what I’m seeing right now. I didn’t even know who this dude was, and I’m a big fan of the NBA’s dingleberries. Turns out James is far from a dingleberry, he’s an honest-to-god role-player by this point.

Of note: underneath this game on NBA.com it says “James scores winning FG”. Couldn’t they have at least put “Mike” in front of that? The amount of casuals that phrase is going to confuse will be through the roof.
