Afflicted with the dreaded “left adductor strain”, Devin Booker, may god rest his soul, has departed from his earthly existence and has taken his place in the heavens. It is a sad situation, but people need to move on as quickly as they can. Grief and despair must lead to the forging of an iron will. The Phoenix Suns are now T.J. Warren’s team. It is time for him to step up. There can be no delay. That’s how Booker would’ve wanted it.
23 points is a good start, until you remember that Warren once scored 40 in a game this year. Scores in the high 30’s to low 40’s are going to have to be the new normal for him. No more mid-20’s, not anymore. He has shown the ability to score in a variety of ways, and now that Booker’s immortal soul has transferred ownership of his prodigious three-point shooting to Warren, there’s no reason he can’t be taking 6 or 7 of those a game. Booker granted him this gift, now he has to use it.
