I thought that the Hornets would be a solid .500 team this year, but even Marvin “W-Marv” Williams’ 45% shooting from tripletown can’t drag them to better than a 9-15 record. Their overtime loss to the Bulls, who are awful, would seem to indicate that playoffs should no longer be an option for Buzz City. What even is the problem down there in Charlotte?
1. Too much Michael Carter-Williams (remember, MCW is equivalent value to Tony Snell)
2. Not enough Jeremy Lamb (the Hornets have had dumb rotations for some time now)
3. Nicolas Batum regression, hasn’t punched enough Juan-Carlos Navarro balls lately
4. Johnny O’Bryant’s manga company not doing so well, effecting his play on the court
5. Cody Zeller being injured actually has a surprising impact on the team even though when you watch him play it doesn’t seem like he’s doing anything at all
6. Marvin Williams should be averaging 18 points per game like the second-overall pick he is
