What I want out of Otto Porter, now that he has proven that he is a stud scoring machine at least some of the time, is some consistency on when he decides to be a scoring machine and when he decides not to be a scoring machine. Hint for Mr. Porter: he should be a scoring machine all the time. If there’s a reason he can’t score twenty a game, I’m not seeing it (unless it’s Bradley Beal and John Wall who are the problem LOL [lots of laughs]).
The two games before this, Porter scored two and four points respectively. What the hell? Somebody whose shooting stroke is so pure should never, ever score that few points. Ever. I didn’t watch those games but I don’t need to watch the games to form correct opinions, and my correct opinion based solely on looking at the box-scores for approximately ten seconds is that the Wizards offense was not as Porter-oriented as it should have been. To be honest, nobody else on the team needs or deserves shots besides Bradley Beal. Markieff Morris and Kelly Oubre are cool dudes I’m sure, but they shouldn’t be taking more shots than my man Otto Porter, who, NEWS FLASH, is still shooting over 50% from the field even after those horrible games he had.
Also, I’ve probably said this before, but I’m sorry for calling Porter a bust after his first season when he averaged two points per game on 36% shooting. But can you even blame me? No you can’t.
