I guess I didn’t really expect Langston Galloway to pull out his best Kyle Korver impression last night, but that’s exactly what happened and now I get to make a highlight video for it. He must have figured that the Pistons’ offense is broken to the point where he would only be able to get some shots if he just launched them from tripletown as soon as he caught the ball. Bold strategy, but it worked.
Galloway, despite having a name befitting a member of the British aristocracy, has sort of been the forgotten man in Detroit. He gets limited minutes off the bench backing up Avery Bradley, who is almost the same player as him, but better (although, with a six-point effort from Bradley last night, who really is the better player here?). If Galloway can sustain this pattern of playing like Wayne Ellington, I could see his minutes going up. Every coach in the universe wants a player who can reliably hit three-pointers off the curl.
