Josh Jackson 17 Points Full Highlights (12/20/2017)

Josh Jackson took eighteen shots to get seventeen points in this game. That alone is an indicator that he didn’t have a good game. In the three-point era, and the era where you can get free throws anytime you want, it’s an accepted fact that when FGA is greater than Points, you were just out there being a chucker. That said, it was cool to see Jackson aggressively looking for his shot instead of being all passive and timid (subtle shots at that tall foreign dude who will not be explicitly named), and it’s not like the Suns are gonna win most games, so he might as well shoot a bunch of wonked-out jumpers.

There aren’t a lot of rotation players in the league whose true shooting percentage is worse than Josh Jackson. I know that I’m not supposed to rag on rookies who struggle early, but Jackson was the fourth overall pick so I feel justified in ragging on him a little bit as long as I preface it with disclaimers. DISCLAIMER: Josh Jackson is a raw rookie so it’s expected that he will suck. That said, here are all the rotation players with a worse true shooting than him:

Lonzo Ball
Michael-Carter Williams (LOL)
Vince Carter
Paul Zipser
Jason Smith

So that’s cool. Remember, don’t get mad at me, I gave you a disclaimer.
