Troy “Fulton Homes” Daniels, with this latest virtuosic display of shooting, once again proves to the world that he doesn’t need to be close to the three-point line in order to launch one. He also doesn’t need separation from defenders, nor does he need time to get his feet under him, nor does he even need to see where the basket is. In fact, I’m pretty sure he shoots a higher percentage on three-pointers where his view of the rim is completely obstructed.
One day there will be a team that plays Daniels 25-30 minutes per game with explicit instructions to chuck three-pointers all day. I don’t know why that team can’t be the Suns, especially with Booker temporarily sidelined, but it is what it is. If Giannis ever leaves Milwaukee and the Bucks implode into nothingness, I know which free agent is the first one getting a call.
