I have to give the Knicks credit. I thought for sure that they’d be one of the most absolutely garbage teams this season, but they’re totally okay! A nice .500 level team. Good enough for the playoffs possibly. Just goes to show what having one star-level talent (Michael Beasley) can do for a team.
Frank Ntilikina probably doesn’t deserve any credit for raising the Knicks even to this mediocre level. Sorry Belgian nationalists (do they even exist, and if they did, would they root for a guy who doesn’t look very Belgian at all), but your man hasn’t been anything special this season. There have been flashes of course, just like most rookies of dubious quality. Like tonight. Tonight was definitely a flash of what we can expect from him in the future. He got hella dimes, and he dunked. Chris Paul can’t dunk, so he’s got that over him, and Shaq couldn’t pass, so he’s also got that over him. Better than CP3 and Shaq at the same time.
