Terry Rozier Career High 31 Points Full Highlights (2/2/2018)

Triple-double in his first game as a starter. A career-high 31 points in his second game as a starter. I don’t want to diminish the accomplishments of Terry Rozier, because he’s been great, but one thing is very clear to me: Brad Stevens is the point guard whisperer.

Kyrie Irving is good, but it has now been conclusively shown that Rozier can be just as good. And that’s not because Rozier suddenly because a legit starting PG or that Irving regressed into primordial sludge. It’s because Stevens can have success with any half-competent PG who can dribble.

I’m fairly confident in my theory, but it still needs more testing. That’s why Shane Larkin needs to start next game. If he starts and is successful, it will have been proven beyond a doubt that Stevens is a PG genius. If he starts and sucks, then we can give all the credit in the world to Rozier, because it will have turned out that he was simply being held down by Stevens instead of held up.
