20 shot attempts. 1 assist. Not an uncommon occurence in the NBA (Anthony Davis scored 48 without a single dime), but a strange one for Dënniß ßchrööder. I’m aware that he doesn’t really love passing the way some of the great PGs did, but only a single assist seems awfully low.
There were recently rumors that the Bucks were about to trade for this dude, but instead went with Eric Bledsoe. I don’t hate Schroder, but I don’t think it would have worked out. Giannis is already extremely high-usage, and Schroder is way up there as well. He’s at his best with the ball in his hands; on the Bucks, the ball would NOT be in his hands, and his effectiveness would be limited. Like it is with Bledsoe. The NBA really needs like 15 more teams so all these ball-dominant players can have their own teams filled up with D-Leaguers like Schroder does.
