I just can’t get a read on the Nuggets. Are they good? Are they merely okay? They seem like they should be good, like they had this win against the Warriors, but they also lose games that they really shouldn’t. Perhaps we’ll find out more once Paul Millsap comes back, but hopefully not, because I have a feeling that he’s gonna implode the whole thing. Just a hunch. Can he stay injured and only provide support in the form of towel waving? Something doesn’t feel right about him.
If the Nuggets keep up their current pace, they’ll be careening straight towards a first-round playoff matchup against none other than the Warriors (who they just beat in case you weren’t paying attention at all). Can you say “upset”? As long as Millsap and Plumlee stay injured, and Jokic regains a bit of his lost mojo, I can see that being a competitive series. Possibly. There’s also a chance that they get swept, but that’s a chance with any team who has to face Golden State.
