We’ve seen this before; small-ish dude happens to grab a bunch of rebounds in some random game, decides that he’s going to be a rebounder from now on, then goes hard on the glass in the next few games before the coaches tell him to leave the rebounds for the bigs. It happened with Westbrook a couple years ago, for example, except his coaches never told him to stop doing it.
That’s what Josh Hart is doing right now. He’s a decent rebounder for a guard, and he went out and grabbed 14 of the suckers last game. Tonight? He wanted to see if he could do it again, so he snagged 11 more. I might have sounded sarcastic in the first paragraph, but it’s probably good that he tried this strategy, because Brook Lopez sure as heck isn’t going to be doing his part.
Hart also scored 14 points and impressed Hubie Brown, which sounds like an accomplishment but it isn’t, because that dude obviously does not pay attention to the NBA anymore and is probably losing his mind a little bit.
