The Wizards might have won this game, but who is the real winner here? It’s still the Wizards, but it’s also Bojan Bogdanovic a little bit, because he just made them regret ever letting him get away. This was a nine-point game in Washington’s favor, even with Bogey scoring 29. Imagine how lopsided it would have been if they still had him! That’s almost a 60 point swing right there, turning the score from 111-102 to 140-73. Oops! Wish you had retained his services, don’t you?
It’s not like he got overpaid or anything, so they can’t use that excuse. A guy with his kind of shooting talent making only 10 million per year actually seems like a bit of a steal to me. I think the Wizards thought Jason Smith could take over some of his role. I am laughing hard about that right now, big hearty laughs that are making my diaphragm hurt. Because of how funny the thought of Jason Smith ever doing anything productive on an NBA court again is to me.
Bogdanovic is refraining from laughing, however, because his hair situation is just as dire as Smith’s.
