Danilo Gallinari 28 Points Full Highlights (2/5/2018)

With how long Danilo Gallinari has been in the league, it’s easy to forget that he’s not yet 30 years old. Granted, his play-style does a lot to deceive; even his poster dunks from prior seasons seemed like those of a nursing-home inmate and he never looks like he’s going very fast or getting a lot of lift on his jumper. As the kids say, he’s “got that old-man game”.

In addition to that, it looks like he also has got a bit of a neckbeard going. It’s not as bad yet as it was in Denver, when his puffy chinstrap extended about two full inches from his face (see his 47-point game for video evidence), but it’s getting there. He’d better shave it off before it gets that bad again, or he’s going to be receiving a special from DTB’s Exclusive Barber Club For NBA Players With Questionable Grooming Tendencies. It’s just me, a couple of roofies, and an electric shaver, but it gets the job done.

Questionable grooming tendencies aside, Gallo had a great game, leading the Clippers to a comeback win against the Mavs and looking none the worse for wear after his injury. His vertical seems to be recovering a bit; I was screaming “Air Italia” at my TV when he threw down that first-quarter dunk. His second dunk was a lot weaker, because the first one sapped all the strength from his legs, but as we know, he does not need legs to get buckets.
