The thumbnail image is the face you make when you realize that DeMarcus Cousins isn’t coming back and you’ll be lucky to win ten more games the rest of the season.
Truthfully, there’s still time for the Pelicans to figure this out. Cousins provides a lot of production that is hard to replace (it’d be easier if they still had Jordan Crawford just saying), even if his total impact is sometimes suspect. The burden shouldn’t fall on Jrue Holiday, though. I think he’s about at his max right now. He’s scoring more than he did in his “All-Star” season, and I just don’t see where he can go from that.
I’ll just be over here waiting for Cheick Diallo to really break out.
