Michael Beasley really has to step up now. If the Knicks have any chance of being watchable at all for the remainder of the season, he has to go out there and score 30 per game. It has to be the Michael Beasley show every night. No passing. Just one-on-one, mano y mano isos every possession he is in the game.
Kristaps Porzingis isn’t walking through that door.
This shouldn’t be too hard for Beasley. One-on-one isos is what he wants to do all the time anyway, and the coaches telling him to do exactly that would be well received. It’s his teammates I’m worried about. THJ sucks, but he still wants touches (I guess to prove how much he sucks LMAO). Ntilikina needs development touches. Kornet has earned a few, which I think should be allotted to him. These dudes and others might resent the fact that Beasley is so much better than them and proving it on a nightly basis.
They will have to deal with it. This is Beasley’s team now. We are all witnesses.
