Well, the Wizards totally blew that one. Good news is, it wasn’t really Otto Porter’s fault, unless you consider him disappearing a problem. Or, instead of “disappearing”, maybe it was more like “getting frozen out of the offense by chucker Beal”. If they had won this game, we could’ve continued with the whole “Wizards are better without John Wall” narrative, but now we have to change it to “Yeah, but maybe they’d be better with John Wall and without Bradley Beal”.
One thing’s for sure though: Porter is a beast, and it’s not his fault at all for anything that goes wrong in Washington. He doesn’t care about drama. He doesn’t even need that many shots if people don’t feel like giving him the ball. He just goes out there and does and thing, and usually it’s good.
Like tonight. 27 points, way more than anyone else, in what was basically a win until Markieff Morris messed it all up. God damn it.
