Monte Morris 10 Points/6 Assists Full Highlights (2/9/2018)

Monte “Monte Carlo Simulation” Morris, in his first real action for the Nuggets, showed more, I think, the Emmanuel Mudiay had all season. That’s an exaggeration, but can you blame me for being hyped? This is just like yesterday when Luke Kornet scored 11, except that was his real debut and Morris had already played three minutes in a game two months ago.

Let’s be real here: if you showed random NBA fans the boxscore from this game and told them Monte was the third Morris brother besides Markieff and Marcus, I bet at least half of them would believe you. And you could get away with it for a while, because it would take a lot of effort, more than the casual is willing to expend, to verify. It’s not like he’d have to part of the twin thing. He could just be another brother who resents the closeness that the twins have and feels left out of everything.

But he’s not. He’s his own, unique human being, not an exact genetic copy of someone else. And, it turns out, he’s a baller. He can ball the basketball. Into the hoop, or into his teammates’ hands so they can ball. This was all accomplished in garbage time, but these were still real NBA players trying to stop him from doing things, and they couldn’t. Too bad Devin Harris is going to come right and take away all this dude’s minutes right as he finally got them.
