Dirk Nowitzki 22 Points/1 Dunk Full Highlights (2/10/2018)

As of yesterday night, Kyle Collinsworth officially has a new entry to put on his resume:

“-Assisted a Dirk Nowitzki dunk. Nowitzki was 39 years old at the time of the dunk.”

You know you threw a good pass when Dirk, who barely dunks anything anymore because he can barely dunk, has no choice but to dunk the ball. That means you hit him in stride, the pass hit him right in the hands, and you did a good enough job drawing defenders to you that the rim is wide open for a big ol’ Deutscher Dunk.

I’ll probably be making a Dwight Powell video in a little while, and I expect that he had multiple dunks in this game. Some or all of them were likely to be better in quality than the one Dirk threw down. However, unless Powell posterized three dudes at once with a 360 dunk while eating a slice of cheese pizza, I’m giving the nod to the Dirk dunk as the best dunk of the game. It just sizzles with raw OLDNESS. Powell could never impart his dunks with oldness like that. Because he’s not old like Dirk is.
