Kyle Anderson 20 Points Full Highlights (2/10/2018)

Kyle Anderson went on a stat-stuffing expedition in this one, recording a final statline of 20/6/5/3/2. He got at least two in each of the five main statistical categories. You know what that means! A scrub-by-five! Way to go Kyle! Your certificate is in the mail, but it actually isn’t because I can afford neither the scrub-by-five certificates themselves or the stamps necessary to mail them.

I’ve gotten on Anderson’s case before for having what seems like a workable offensive game, yet being unexpectedly passive when it comes to scoring the ball. This year it seems like that he’s taken over a bit more scoring load with Kawhi out, but if you look at the Per-36 stats, he’s not really scoring at a higher rate. He’s just playing more minutes and is shooting a higher percentage from the field, which means he has more high-scoring games.

Basketball-reference tells me that this dude was the third best high school prospect in 2012. Was he faster then or was he just overpowering dumb high school players with his fundamentals? I bet there are mixtapes I could watch to find out.
