This is what I am reduced to. Making highlights for the player known as “Swaggy P” even when the amount of points he scored is decidedly non-swaggy. I suppose this is the price we pay for living in a world where Nick Young will get a championship ring; he does not play a big enough role on the team to score swaggy amounts of points on a regular basis.
The good news is that, even if Young’s scoring is way down this year, the times he does score are guaranteed to be very swaggy, maybe even swaggier than years past. Since he gets no minutes, he needs to cram as much as scoring he can in the few minutes he does receive, which means taking any half-open shot that presents itself. I want nothing more than game seven of the NBA finals to be an utter blowout and Young scores 22 points by himself in the final six minutes of the game. Actually, there are things that I want more than that (Jennifer please come back to me) but you have to agree with me, that would be pretty cool.
