I’ve said it before but it bears repeating: these new two-way contracts are making it really damn hard for me trying to follow all of the scrubs of the NBA. There’s just too many of them, I think the NBA has already set a record for most players to appear in a game in a single season and we’re not even at the All-Star break yet.
I think I had heard of Andrew White before tonight, maybe saw a tweet that said he got signed to a two-way a while back, maybe saw him as an inactive in a boxscore, but I could be wrong. I could be thinking of someone else, like Isaiah Hicks or something. I certainly did the largest double-take of my life when I saw he was the leading scorer for the Hawks in this game. In any case, I am enjoying way more than I should the fact that the first tangible thing I have seen about him is a 15-point explosion in his NBA debut.
Also, if you guys in the comments could pretend to know exactly who this is instead of just asking “Who tf is this??????” that would be great.
Also also: shout out to Andrew for being the first White I’ve showcased on my channel since James “Flight” White scored 20 for the Knicks like a million years ago. Derrick White, step it up, you were supposed to be next in line but you got beat out by a guy that no one has ever heard of. Edit: I forgot about Okaro White because that dude’s beard was so awful and now he’s out of the league. Really I just wanted to remind everyone of the fact that James White was in the league but didn’t even do a between-the-legs dunk from the free throw line in game.
