Jarell Martin is trying to do things on offense this year. Things that he, maybe, shouldn’t be trying to do. Three-point things. Step-back things. Pull-up things. At the same time, why shouldn’t he be trying to expand his game? The Grizzlies are doing nothing right now, and the national spotlight is about as far from Memphis as it’s possible to get. He could take a 360 no-scope three from 40 feet, airball it, then walk over to a kid and knock the popcorn out of his hands and I don’t think anyone would notice.
When put that way, I guess a few swaggy jumpers isn’t so bad.
