Jrue Holiday 36 Points Full Highlights (2/25/2018)

While watching this game live, it seemed like the Bucks couldn’t stop Jrue Holiday at all. Like he was scoring every time he touched the ball. That was partially the case, but I had no idea until I looked at the boxscore that he had taken 31 shots (and 2 free throws, can’t forget about those) to get his 36 points. Still a good performance, but he was being stopped roughly half the time he was trying to score.

I was so caught up in the seeming injustice of the situation that I failed to accurately analyze the state of the game as it was going on. This is a bad sign. How am I supposed to remain objective when my judgment can be so quickly clouded by rage? Can I no longer trust my own eyes, my own intuition?

Side note: another thing I didn’t notice was the absence of DeMarcus Cousins. Injured NBA players often enter a sort-of “twilight zone” where people forget that they ever existed. When was the last time you heard anything about him, or about Kristaps Porzingis? Great players, but NBA teams are, for the most part, good at playing without the stars, at least well enough so its not obvious that there’s a huge gaping wound where their star should be.
