Will Barton: super ultra discount version of James Harden? Let’s go with it. Sounds a lot better than “Corey Brewer 2.0”.
The similarities are all there, but not as good: the beard, the shooting/chucking, the driving/finishing ability, passing, and… that’s about it. Not nearly as much foul-drawing ability, but that’s a good thing. Also more athleticism, which is also a good thing. You could probably put Barton on the Rockets in Harden’s place and they would only lose, like, 10 more games than they would with normally.
I think I just accidentally talked myself out of my previously held position that James Harden should be MVP this year. Oops. Congrats Anthony Davis on earning my vote!
