I just read some sad news that Papa John’s is no longer the official pizza of the NFL. Now, you can make an argument that maybe the USA’s biggest sports league doesn’t need on official pizza, but I would make the counterargument that you are a pinko comsymp bastard who hates freedom and bald eagles. Pizza is one of the proudest American pastimes.
This leads me to my first question: does the NBA have an official pizza? I know the Pistons are tightly intertwined with Little Caesar’s, but I’m pretty sure that partnership doesn’t extend past the Detroit metropolitan area. Similarly with the Kings and a shady chain known as “Pizza Boys”. I’m unsure if “Pizza Boys” even really exists; there are certainly none in my area. In any case, I’m doing some research and it doesn’t appear that the NBA has an official pizza. This is an oversight that needs to be rectified.
Likewise, Caris LeVert also does not have an official pizza. What’s going on here? Do people not like pizza, or do they like pizza okay but not enough to grant their favored pizza joint a little extra spotlight by sponsoring them? The official pizza of DownToBuck is Pizza Hut, if you were wondering. I’ve got my ducks in a row here, and they reward me for my advertisement of them with pizzas delivered straight to my door. I have to pay full price for them, but I don’t even have to go outside and receive deadly solar rays if I don’t want to. I think it’s a pretty sweet deal.
