Boy, the Suns are really going to be enjoying these 29 points from Josh Jackson when they’re watching all the top-tier prospects get taken in the draft and they have to settle for Trae Young!
NOT.
It’s great that Jackson silenced his doubters and put together a legit scoring performance in an NBA game against a real (sort of) NBA team. He played a complete game, he was defending, he was offending, he had a buzzer-beater and some buzzer-not-beaters, he threw lobs even while people weren’t throwing lobs to him, he put on a show for the few remaining Suns fans who can still find the energy to tune in to the game.
But if he was going to score 29, Devin Booker definitely had to cool it with the whole “scoring” thing. He didn’t, he went out there and did his thing, which resulted in a devastating Suns victory over the Grizzlies. Memphis is now in sole possession of first place in the standings, and I doubt they win another game. Winning is fun, but so is drafting DeAndre Ayton.
