Montrezl Harrell 19 Points Full Highlights (3/2/2018)

Montrezl Harrell is low-key a beast this season. Somehow, as a 6-8 midget with outrageously long arms, he is scoring nearly as much as DeAndre Jordan per game while playing half the minutes. If you played him all 48 every game, you’d end up with so many 30-point games that it wouldn’t even be notable for him anymore, and probably some 40-burgers as well. This is assuming that Milos Teodosic and Lou Williams are on the court this entire time as well. As great as Harrell is playing, he is not great at creating offense for himself.

What I want to see from him to end the season is maybe a little midrange jumper added to his arsenal. He’s totally going to get paid this offseason, but if he adds that wrinkle to his game, he’s going to get HELLA paid. To the MAX. Maybe not the literal max, but there are always teams looking for competent dunky centers who can also maybe hit jumpers now and then.

In a positive development for him, he didn’t even dunk it that much this game. He did other things, like layups and floaters. Floaters are a form of jumper, I think, so maybe he can work on extending his floater range to 15 feet? I remember I used to love shooting floaters in NBA Live 2004 with Dan Gadzuric, so I know this can work.
